Introducing the SRAR Expo 2008 REO-Panel

This year SRAR EXPO 2008 will have an REO Panel to ensure your REO success. The idea of the Panel is to tackle a variety of questions in a relaxed and open conversational type setting. Come prepared to ask questions, get answers and network with other professionals facing similar goals.

The panel participants have all been very carefully chosen by the SRAR EXPO 2008 committee for several reasons. The panelists come from a variety of area’s on the SRAR region, each have years of experience and expertise between them. All of them are excited about sharing information and being able to assist other REALTORS^® through this era of Real Estate transition.

As a REALTOR^® since 1977 Garo Papazian has seen many ups and downs during his 30 year career. He has learned that adapting to whatever the market throws your way means survival. He has closed thousands of transactions and from each one has learned a little bit more. Keeping his clients educated about the current state of the Real Estate market and at the same time continuing to sharpen his own skills is his priority. Over the course of the past year, a majority of his business has transitioned to REO sales. Selling foreclosures for the bank is difficult, but it provides a great way to survive market down-turns. In his experience he has found that foreclosures are a great opportunity to get buyers "off the fence" and with a little "rehab" you can purchase a home at a great price. Garo has lived in the Santa Clarita Valley for over 20 years and has raised a wonderful family there. He is proud of his many accomplishments over the years, including the fact he was named #1 agent in Santa Clarita for Realty Executives. It is his opinion that success comes with a supportive company environment, and a professional team of REALTORS^® to work with.

President of LaRocca Inspection Associates, John LaRocca has been a licensed general contractor since 1969 and a California Real Estate Association Certified Real Estate Inspector since 1990. He is a sought after speaker and guest on national and local TV news shows and is featured on numerous HGTV and Bravo channel specials on Real Estate related issues. John also provides articles special to real estate for many newspapers, including the Daily News, and to California REALTOR^® Association publications. He and his staff inspectors have extensive background, education and credentials in real estate inspections, making them the most requested property inspection company in Los Angeles, performing 6,000 to 8,000 inspections each year. They also provide professional chimney, sewer-line and mold inspections, making them a unique one-stop shop for REALTORS^® and buyers. With over 27 years of hands on experience on handling residential properties throughout the San Fernando Valley and Westside Los Angeles, Howard Graham has truly excelled to the heights of his profession. Howard has been an "REO Specialist" since 1992, managing and marketing REO properties for major lending institutions, mortgage companies and asset management companies. Additionally, Howard has been a high volume Designated Area Broker for the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation (Freddie Mac). Howard’s extensive experience in working with "institutional" clients gives him a unique perspective on today’s changing real estate market. Presently, as Associate Manager for Prudential California Realty – Encino Office, Howard oversees the daily operations of one of the most productive real estate offices in Southern California. Additionally he oversees the REO Services Department coordinating the tasks of property management and rehab, marketing campaigns and escrow

follow-up for lender owned properties. Howard is consistently ranked among the top 6% of all sales professionals within the national Prudential Real Estate Network. He is a member of the National Association of REALTORS^®. He has served as an Associate Director on the Board of Directors of the REO Managers Association of California (REOMAC). Howard has been an approved REO instructor for continuing education, sanctioned by the California Department of Real Estate.
